We know, cake is never boring, right?  This section has some important information though - have a cuppa while you're reading it and we promise we'll make it quick!

Delivery and collection

Delivery and set up is included in all of our afternoon tea packages in Dunfermline and within a 10 mile radius.  For venues further away, a small additional fee will apply for delivery, please contact us for details.  Also included in the afternoon tea packages is the collection of the vintage crockery and other equipment on the day after your event.  You don't need to wash the plates or cups, we'll don our marigolds and take care of that for you, but we do ask that you give the items a quick wipe clean to prevent unnecessary mess during transport.

For the layer cakes and children's party packages, delivery is not included in the cost.  Orders can be collected from our Dunfermline address, or alternatively if you'd like us to deliver please contact us to discuss costs.  

Vintage crockery hire and damages

Full hire of all vintage crockery and accessories is included in our afternoon tea packages.  If you'd like to include the hire of crockery or cake stands with any of our layer cakes or children's packages, please contact us for a price.

Some of our china items are very delicate, and although we know you'll take good care of them, sometimes accidents do happen.  A small charge will apply for any breakages, details are below.

Payment and deposits

A deposit is required to secure any booking - bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Afternoon tea and children's packages - a deposit of 20% of the overall cost of your event is required, with the remainder of the cost payable 24 hours before the day of the event.  

Layer cakes - a £10 deposit is required, with the remainder of the cost payable on or by the date of collection.

Wedding cakes - a deposit of 25% of the overall cost of your cake is required, with the remainder of the cost payable six weeks before the date of your wedding.

Payment can be made by cash, card, cheque or bank transfer.

Ingredients and allergens

All of our cakes are made using proper butter, free range eggs and high quality ingredients.  Full ingredients listings for all items are available on request.  When booking any cake or package, we'll discuss with you any food allergies or intolerances.  We can provide cakes to meet specific dietary requirements, however all items are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten and other known allergens.  Please contact us to discuss in more detail.


Privacy notice

When you contact Florence and George to book a vintage tea party, a children’s tea party, or a celebration cake, we’ll ask you for some very limited personal information.  We’ll usually ask for your name, your email address and a contact telephone number.  For tea party bookings, we’ll also ask for a postal address where the tea party will be held.

We record this information on an order confirmation form, which we email to you and which we store electronically and securely.  These order confirmations are archived after completion of your order and then stored securely for a period of six years before being permanently deleted.

We will never share your data with any third parties.  We don’t hold data for anyone under the age of 16.
